Key responsibilities & duties:
- Provide support to the Dynamic Positioning business lines in the region and globally, contributing to related projects using professional experience and basic principles.
- Carry out specialist Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Attendance onboard vessels to prove / verify FMEA.
- Site supervision and coordination for project monitoring
- Take part in technical and procedural reviews and marine study reports covering marine and offshore projects as well as site attendance.
- Contribute to the continual development of the dynamic positioning business lines.
- Undertaking dynamic positioning assurance / technical projects
- Development of FMEA and test program for submission to clients
- Ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Assist in projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by ABL and/or the Client.
- Responsible for delivery of quality documents within a timeline established by management and client.
- Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
- And other duties as assigned.

- Mechanical / electrical / electronic engineering background – with strong engineering foundation
- Understanding of systems design and implementation of FMEA methodology / identification of single point failures
- Primarily office based but requirement for onsite (offshore) attendance and time with clients.
- Willing to attend and able to complete offshore safety/medical courses as required for travel to vessels.
- Advantage if equipped with AutoCAD / SolidWorks, PSCAD, ETAP, E-Plant, Microsoft office applications – word, excel, Visio – skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Marine System)
- Over 5 years in Marine and Offshore Industry
- Basic Engineering Principals
- Understanding of FMEA study and objective
- Comprehend engineering documents like P & ID and Single Line Diagram
- Able to work as a team and take accountability in own work.
- Help identify gaps and give feasible solution in current work process to improve efficacy
