Job Requirements:
- At least Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering
- Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in Marine Industries, preferably with Management of ship operations or repairs.
- Results-oriented and performance driven.
- Able to travel within short notice as required
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for effective implementation and monitoring of software vessel performance for fleet, work with service provider to generate reports, co-ordinates with technical superintendents for data analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist Technical Supt in monitoring the Class and Flag State requirements planning / supervising the required surveys. Ensuring that the certificate of assigned vessels is maintained in accordance with the relevant Class / Flag State requirements.
- Keeping abreast with the Statutory and Class regulations and standards
- Develop efficient methods for evaluating/selecting, in cooperation with Technical Manager, to monitor and evaluate sub-contractors.
- Provide assistance to Tech Supt to prepare for dry-docking repair specifications.
- Assist Tech Supt in Evaluating repair quotations, selecting repair Companies and location of the repairs, based on the ‘best quality of works’ / ‘cost’ relation, taking into account the vessels’ itinerary and Charter Party obligations.
- Update of repair cost and schedule of repairs.
- Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required.
- Attend Technical Department meetings, record minutes and distribute as required.
- Assist fleet personal and other administrative duties when called upon.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
