Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of assigned vessels, ensuring adherence to HSSEQ System.
- Strategically plan, manage, monitor, and execute vessel repairs, dry dockings, and conversions within budget constraints.
- Monitor vessel performance trends and implement corrective measures for optimization.
- Collect and assess emission control/compliance data, securing approval from relevant authorities (SEEMP/EEXI/CII).
- Conduct regular vessel visits, generate visit reports, and ensure closure of deficiencies.
- Prepare management reports as per Principal agreements, for approval by General Manager.
- Enforce strict cost control of Annual Operating Budget for each vessel.
- Review monthly cost control and approve financial reports before submission for further review.
- Participate in training and education of new crew and office staff.
- Assist in SIRE inspections and TMSA audits.
Requirements:
- Hold Marine Engineer Class 1 (Chief Engineer Unlimited) Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years of tanker experience.
- Relevant sea-going experience as Chief Engineer with class 1 certification, and 2 years in Oil tankers.
- Preferably experience as Technical Superintendent, focusing on tankers (Oil).
- Strong work ethic and collaborative team spirit.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with hands-on capabilities.
