Institute For Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education (Singapore), Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. Hosted by NTU, IDMxS is focused on development of core science to drive a paradigm shift in molecular detection and analysis to link the biomolecular world of life with the networked world of technology.
IDMxS is looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Research Fellow on further develop translational potential of IDMxS technologies within the institute.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive assay development for digital detection technologies, proof-of-concept and participate in prototype design and testing
Provide industry insights in assay development roadmap
Execute biochemistry/molecular biology experiments and perform data analysis
Ensure effective and efficient communications among group members
Performs market and competitive analysis when needed for assessment of commercialization potential
Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of laboratory work
Draft scientific publications, present research findings internally and externally
Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines
Assist in lab management matters when necessary
Guide junior members of the team
Job Requirements:
Masters/PhD in life science, biotechnology, microbiology, or other related disciplines
Minimum 6 years of industry experience (for Masters holders)
Experience as technical lead in product development is highly preferable
Additional experience in product commercialization process is highly preferable
Experienced in digital PCR / quantitative PCR assay development is desired
Familiar with lab operation, lab safety and management matters
Strong communication skills and ability to write research reports, publish and critically review publications
Experience with one or more of the following analytical technologies, including fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, cell assays, molecular biology techniques, bacterial culture, etc
