The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
The Research Associate will be responsible for the investigation on multi-user coding for 6G mMTC communications, including the design of multi-user LDPC codes, optimization of message-passing multi-user detection, innovation of Turbo receiver for MU-LDPC and MP-MUD, computer simulations, and system performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the multi-user communication systems (e.g., sparse code multiple access systems).
Design high-performance multi-user codes (e.g., LDPC/Polar codes).
Devise high-reliability multi-user Turbo receivers (e.g., message-passing algorithm).
Conceive novel design strategies, factor graph, and theoretical-analysis tools.
Work closely with PI and team members to ensure the timely and efficient completion for project milestones.
Keep track of technology trends.
Job Requirements:
Master degree or above in Communication Engineering or related field from a reputable university.
Experience in coded modulations.
Research-associate experience is preferred.
Experience in publishing papers related to coding and detection.
Good understanding and ability in information theory, channel coding, and multi-user communications.
Knowledge of error-correction codes and message-passing algorithms.
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
Research independence with a team working spirit.
Fluent verbal and written communications in English.
Experiences in programming software (e.g., MATLAB, C, and C++).
