The NTU School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (NTU EEE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our team, specializing in Embedded Systems and Algorithm Development. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in the development and testing of embedded systems, focusing on algorithm development, PCB build, and testing. This position is crucial for advancing our research objectives in innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of electronic boards tailored to project requirements.
Develop schematics, layout PCBs, and produce prototype boards for testing.
Microcontroller Programming:
Write, test, and debug code for various microcontrollers, particularly STM32, Arduino, and similar platforms.
Integrate software with hardware designs to create seamless electronic systems.
Machine Learning (Desirable, Optional):
Apply machine learning techniques in embedded systems as required.
Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning experts to optimize algorithms for integration into hardware platforms.
Testing:
Carry out functional testing on prototypes to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electronic circuits and microcontroller software.
R&D Support:
Collaborate with the R&D team in brainstorming, design discussions, and review meetings.
Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and techniques in electronics and software that can benefit the team's projects.
Provide necessary documentation, including design notes, testing results, and user manuals.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong background in embedded systems and algorithm development.
Experience with PCB design, build, and testing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or others relevant to embedded systems.
Solid understanding of electronics and microcontroller-based systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Space technology related experience will be preferred.
