Responsibilities
- To process and ensure proper settlement of Trade Finance transactions according to the procedures set out in the operational manual, thoroughly checking the supporting documents, obtaining approval of transactions from the management, input trade transactions in NGD system, passing the relevant accounting entries.
- To perform AML in system.
- To respond professionally to existing and potential customer’s queries on products and services.
- To keep proper records of trade finance transactions and ensure all transaction documents are filed in order.
- To construct SWIFT messages for relevant Trade Finance products and Services.
- To promptly discuss with or seek advice from his superiors regarding handling of exceptions of Trade Finance transactions or any other duties
- To prepare daily reports, monthly report and MAS reports of Trade Finance transactions
- To assist in updating of existing Import & Export Bills Operations Manuel.
- To ensure all outstanding or pending transaction are followed up closely.
- Participate for any system enhancement / testing/ projects related to Import/Export assigned by Checker/Section Head or Deputy Head of Operations or Head of Operations
- To retrieve all incoming SWIFT message, record them SWIFT Incoming Register and distribute to appropriate parties actions
- Acknowledgement receipt of IEB incoming SWIFT and distribution of daily transaction to staff.
Requirement
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in handling all trade finance products, i.e. L/C , L/G, collections, invoice financing , bill discounting, forfeiting, etc
- Good understanding and knowledge of AML checking related to trade transactions
- Able to process remittance transactions, i.e. MT202, MT103, MEPS008, MEPS009 etc.
- Basic knowledge of accounting entry and reporting.
- Must be meticulous, careful, positive and full of responsibility
- Mature with good communication skills and must be able to work independently
