Job Title: Finance Manager - Automotive Industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to optimize profitability and efficiency.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify variances, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Prepare rolling forecasts to anticipate financial trends and support agile decision-making.
- Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure adequate funding for operations.
Optimize banking relationships and implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.
Oversee foreign exchange risk management to mitigate currency exposure.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure timely filing of financial statements and tax returns.
Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters between international subsidiaries and China headquarters.
Collaborate with regional finance teams to standardize processes, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
Facilitate communication and alignment on financial objectives, initiatives, and priorities across different functional areas and geographic locations.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external partners.
Liaise with China headquarters to provide financial updates, strategic insights, and support for decision-making.
Represent the finance function in meetings, negotiations, and presentations with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and treasury management.
- Strong understanding of international finance, including foreign exchange, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, MS Excel, and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and functions.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business performance and fostering innovation.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required; additional languages are a plus.
