Assistant Finance Manager | Jurong Fishery Port | Up to $7,000

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage accurate and timely financial closing processes, including the preparation of Balance Sheet schedules (investments, right-of-use assets, prepayments, accruals, rebates, sales cutoff, etc.).
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of cash flow for actuals and forecasts, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Conduct and review quarterly GST submissions, manage tax matters, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government agencies.
  • Lead the monthly financial closing process in collaboration with the Finance team and other departments.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering their development and supporting the implementation of process/system improvements.
  • Handle inventory management and ensure adherence to standard costing practices.
  • Coordinate the organization-wide budget planning exercise.
  • Manage and execute ad-hoc projects as directed by the Head of Finance or CEO.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or an equivalent field; Qualified CPA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a commercial industry, with a particular focus on inventory management.
  • Deep understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and familiarity with Singapore Tax regulations.
  • High proficiency in Excel and substantial experience in implementing process changes.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management skills, with the capability to work collaboratively across different functions.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and a proactive approach towards driving process and system improvements.
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in finance or related fields.
