Job Description
- Responsible in quantity take off, preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), tender and contracts preparation, cost activities, process progress claims, payments and preparation of final accounts.
- Administer to ensure completeness and timely submission of tender bids and quotations.
- Responsible for all pre and post project contracts administration for Clients and Sub-Contractors, including not limited: preparation of interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract, prepare payment certificates and keep track of variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability.
- Liaise and coordinate with Clients’ and Sub-Contractors’ Professionals, Technical and/or Site Team on site documentation, shop drawings for submission and approval.
- Review and prepare contracts/agreements and coordinate for award of sub-contractor work and ensure return of duly signed Sub-Contractors’ Agreements, Contracts or Work Orders.
- Work closely with our Operations Team to identify and evaluate progress work done, any work variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
- Provide Project budgeting and costing reports. Track changes in design/construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Good knowledge in building construction works, Conditions of Contract, Forms of Contract, construction laws and requirements.
- Provide all relevant information to the Managing Director and Management Team for their reviews and follow-up on any tasks required by them.
- Assist the Project Team, Management and/or the Managing Director in contractual and cost related issues, and a range of other duties as and when required.
- Prepare and finalise subcontract and main contracts outstanding progress claims and final accounts; including contract administration for variations.
- Be responsible in maintain proper documentation for easy retrieval.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Quantity Surveying or Project or Construction Management or its relevant
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the construction QS. Fresh candidates are welcome as well as training provided
- Work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives; good communication and coordination skills
- Have good knowledge of the market updates and construction cost trend
- Strong negotiation to liaise with contractors/sub-contractors/vendors and good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Proficient in MS Office software and the relevant application
