Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies to optimize costs and improve efficiency in the supply chain.
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and commitment to ethical and sustainability standards.
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Supervising the review and processing of purchase orders, work orders, subcontractor contracts, and progress payment claims.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
- Building and managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Analyzing and refining procurement practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Staying updated on regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to sourcing activities.
- Providing regular updates and reports to the Senior Manager.
Requirements:
- 4 to 6 years’ working experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a construction or engineering industry.
- Degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field or equivalent certification.
- Strong work ethic, and analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
