Job Description & Requirements
- Promote total job safety and environmental awareness by employees, subcontractors and all persons in the job vicinity and stress to all employees and subcontractors the importance senior management attaches to safe work practices and environmental protection
- Ensure that safe and environmentally acceptable working methods and practices are implemented and that plant and equipment is made available, properly operated and maintained, to enable operations to be carried out safely and without environmental harm.
- Ensure that employee discipline is appropriately managed.
- Ensure timely receipt of superintendents and supervisory reports for progress monitoring and other site performance information as requested by site management.
- Requisition of minor materials and consumables as required.
- Utilisation of planned resources in an efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Marine works experience is required looking at jetty, coastal works, port experience etc
- 10-15 years experience
- Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementing of same.
- Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees.
- Exceptional vigour and energy accompanied by good oral and written communication skills.
