Job Description
- Operational Oversight - Managing day-to-day operations of Yacht facilities. This involves ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
- Logistics Management - Coordinating the movement of goods or passengers through transportation systems, including scheduling shipments, managing cargo handling, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Safety and compliance - Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to marine operations, including environmental regulations and maritime laws.
- Financial Management - Budgeting, cost estimation, and financing planning for operations. This may involve managing expenses, allocating resources, and seeking funding for projects.
- Personnel Management - Hiring, training, and supervising staff involved in marine operations, such as ship crews, dockworkers, or search scientists. They may also handle personnel issues, such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Environmental conservation - implementing strategies to minimize the environmental impact of marine activities such as pollution prevention measures, habitat restoration projects, or sustainable fishing practices.
- Stakeholder Relations - Buidling and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, environmental orgainizations, and local communities,. This may involve negotiating aggrements, addressing concerns, and fostering collaboration on marine projects.
Job Requirement
- Higher Diploma / University Degree holder in Maritime Studies, Cruise operations, Business Management or related discipline with three to five years working experience.
- A self starter with can-do spirit
- Excellent in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in crewing and maritime compliance is an advantage, training will be provided to candidate from other background with transferrable skills
- The ideal candidate would have preivious experience of working in yachting or maritime industry with strong administrative skills.
- Deck officers or steward/stewardess transition to shoreside, maritime studies graduates looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply
- Candidates who have more experience will be considered for a senior position.
