Broad Functions
The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Plant Engineer is to ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment and to promote equipment efficiency and cost optimisation within the plant. They are also responsible to uphold equipment application safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance. By developing and implementing safety protocols, conduct regular audits and inspections, and train personnel on equipment maintenance and service safety practices..
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Plant’s equipment reliability and usability
- Review and plan equipment service and replacement schedule
- Conduct root analysis for complicated equipment breakdown and exceptional report
- Recommend for equipment modifications.
- Take charge of schedule for plant equipment overhaul and service SDM tasks
- Respond to urgent breakdown incident.
- Ensure equipment efficiency by optimizing equipment service and maintenance procedures and frequency.
- Monitor and ensure Plant’s compliance with MOM safety regulations, and systems and equipment meet required standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance strategies and identify areas for cost reduction
- Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the desired specifications.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with At least 3 years of relevant working experience in MNC Chemical Plant
- Self-disciplined, meticulous, and resourceful
- Strong working knowledge of chemical process
- Familiar with ESH regulations.
- Computer-literate
- Good data analysis skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, tact and high degree of integrity and strong planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

- Working in Jurong Island
- Salary Range: 3.5K to 5K + Allowance + Bonus + AWS: 3-4 months
- 5 days' work week 8am – 4.45pm
- Company transport at Jurong Island & Lakeside
