Job Scope
- Operate and maintain all passive and active network equipment in Cable Landing Station (CLS) environment including but not limiting to SLTE, PFE, DWDM, Open Cable Access Equipment (OCAE), AC/DC Power, etc.
- Operate and maintain all active Local Loop Networks in Singapore which include but not limited to DWDM and local loop Optical cable networks connecting CLS with various POPs
- Coordinate with customer’s and internal logistic team in handling both inbound and outbound shipping and return requests
- Maintain and perform audit on inventory spares
- Perform 24x7 standby duties including weekends and public holidays
- Conduct onsite site survey and compile post survey report
- Possess good understanding of networking equipment, Wireless AP, Switch, Router, Firewall, load-balancer etc
- Familiar with fiber optic network transmission, using single mode vs mulit-mode as backhaul
- Possess knowledge in network design, especially in High Availability environment
- To perform onsite commissioning/troubleshooting of ONT/Router/Firewall/AP
- To ensure the orders are completed as per CRD (Customer Request Date)
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least Higher NITEC or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Able to commit to a 5.5 day work week
- Proficient in MS Office Applications such as MS Words, Excel, Power Point
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN/Wireless technologies
- Knowledge in using power meter, OTDR and performing BERT/RFC2544 test using tester
- Class 3/3A license is mandatory
- Prior hands-on experience with Cisco and HPE/Aruba equipment
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
- Good written communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
