The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 12-month contract at the Natural Sciences and Science Education Academic Group.
Project Title: Optimization of Optoelectronic Sensors for Object Tracking
Project Introduction: We are looking for a research assistant for the development and optimization of electrochemical optoelectronic sensors for applications in object recognition and object tracking.
Requirements:
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following: physics, chemistry, materials science, or electrical engineering. The candidate should be motivated and reliably show up at work physically to perform experiments in the laboratories during working hours. The candidate should have some prior experience in working in a chemistry laboratory and know how to handle basic chemicals.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will fabricate optoelectronic sensors including glass cleaning, glass cutting, and hole drilling. Furthermore, the candidate will perform basic chemistry such as preparing electrolytes and dye solutions, carry out electric characterizations of the sensors, analyze the measured data, take care of laboratory consumables inventory, as well as write reports/publications.
