Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources functions within the manufacturing facility. This role involves collaborating with department managers, fostering a positive working environment, implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and employee development to support the overall success of the Manufacturing Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure the timely filling of vacancies.
- Implement effective strategies for attracting and retaining skilled talent in the manufacturing sector.
Employee Relations:
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and address concerns to maintain a healthy work environment.
Payroll Legislation
- Coordinate and manage the entire payroll process.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and other changes.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on labor laws and regulations related to payroll.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Implement and update payroll policies and procedures in accordance with legal changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll administration.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement changes accordingly.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems to monitor employee performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate the annual performance review process and provide guidance to managers on goal-setting and performance improvement.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning.
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations, and update policies accordingly.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Ensure competitive and fair salary structures for employees.
- Administer employee benefit programs and communicate changes to employees.
Safety and Wellness:
- Collaborate with safety officers to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR data and analytics to generate reports and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key HR metrics and propose improvements based on data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR manager, in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Info-tech system will be an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Able to work hands-on
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
