Planning & Execution:
- Coordinate with customers, production, and planning staff to understand the material requirements
- Support the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures and ensuring all purchase are approved within mandated guidelines
- Assist management in identifying cost saving and drive activities to meet the cost reduction targets
- Control of materials inventory with prompt action for urgent materials requirement situation
- Collating reports and run statistical analysis to understand and maintain inventory support level
- Manage supplies to meet production plans and customers’ demand as well as ensure timely delivery of materials to support production build and meet targeted inventory turns
- Review monthly forecast and ensure material are planned and delivered to support the revenue requirement
- Monitor performance of suppliers to meet objectives in quality, flexibility, inventory control and actively engage suppliers to improve the deliverables (supplier evaluation and supplier development)
- Analyze product specifications to plan and ensure availability of materials and machines resources to ensure manufacturing work orders meet on time delivery schedule
- Responsible in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and report the plans and progress to management effectively
Production Capacity Planning:
- Plan schedules to ensure production line is optimized
- Simulation of capacity requirement for any insertion order or project orders
- Forward planning to even the loading by pulling forward or delaying loading to avoid capacity shortage
Others:
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor/ Management
