Job purpose:
- The Structured Solutions desk is a global team within Group Treasury, that engages in the full suite of credit related products and providing asset and liability management solutions to our clients (yield enhancement solutions, risk management strategies, financing structures as well as delivering balance sheet optimization etc).
- Although the role will be based in Singapore, the team's focus includes not only business activities in Asia but, since the team is Global, also which covers other regions such as Middle East & Africa.
- Structured Solutions is currently seeking an Intern to join the desk on a full-time basis for 12 months.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sales team and Trading team on a day-to-day basis, given the necessary training, opportunities to interact/work with traders and work on structuring/trading ideas.
- Responsibilities may also include reports generation, presentations preparation, trade inputs, gathering market information and others.
Key activities:
- Take responsibility to provide necessary support to the senior staffs as directed.
- Initiate action to further improve skills and performance.
- Provide other ad-hoc support where required.
- To adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
Formal education:
- Students from top tier universities with or working towards a Master’s degree. Students from Business, Engineering & Science (Mathematics, Physics) preferred.
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- Any similar previous experience(s) will be a plus
- Notion on financial and pricing theory will be an advantage
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments
- Team player
- Excellent user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Fluent in both written and spoken English; a foreign language (for e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc.) will be advantage
