Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the company’s multiple brands globally using IP management.
- Conduct industry and market-specific research on brand matters, and advise on feasibility of TM registrations in new markets.
- Advising on IP filing strategies, courses of action and costs.
- Advising and handling new TM applications, TM renewals, opposition matters and publications.
- Maintain IP register(s) to update IP portfolio and record of expenses.
- Handling IP law related queries.
- Work efficiently with external agents and attorneys internationally.
Essential Requirements
- Candidates with a diploma in Law or graduates of the Graduate Diploma in IP and Innovation Management/ Specialist Certificate in Intangible Asset Management are encouraged to apply.
- Min. 1-2 years IP/TM prosecution work experience or legal work with specialist/law firm.
- Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones.
- Proactive, resourceful and independent worker, with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with U.S. and other foreign IP laws and relevant treaties is a plus.
- Experience in working with Health & Wellness products is a plus but is not required.
- Experience in trade mark portfolio analysis and mining existing TM applications for additional coverage is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity in working with patent agents on simple patent enquiries is a plus but not required.
