In a Nutshell

As a System Administrator at Virgin Active Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for various core work areas including Service Desk, Desktop Support, End User Computing (EUC), Networking, Digital Screens, and IT Hardware & Infrastructure. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall effectiveness and reliability of our IT systems.

About the Role


1. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure and Service Manager

  • You’ll support Virgin Active clubs in Singapore with first level technical support for end users experiencing application-related issues. You’ll also remote support issues in Australia and Thailand.

2. Service Desk Support:

  • Provide timely and efficient support to end-users, addressing their technical issues, inquiries, and requests.
  • Monitor and manage the IT service desk, ensuring that incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

3. Desktop Support:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, and other end-user devices.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software applications as needed.
  • Ensure end-users have access to the necessary resources and tools to perform their tasks effectively.

4. End User Computing (EUC):

  • Administer end-user computing environments, including operating systems and software configurations.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Perform regular system updates and patches to enhance performance and security.
  • Networking:
  • Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to design and implement network improvements.

5.Digital Screens:

  • Oversee digital signage systems, ensuring content is up to date and displayed correctly.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues related to digital screens and signage software.

6. IT Hardware & Infrastructure:

  • Manage and maintain IT hardware, including servers, storage devices, and data center, Telephones, etc.
  • Perform routine hardware maintenance, upgrades, and replacements as needed.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance infrastructure reliability.

About You

  • With 3-4 years of experience in system administration, you have honed your skills in maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure.
  • Proficient in providing first-level technical support and adept at managing service desk operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Skilled in desktop support, confidently maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading end-user devices and software applications.
  • Experienced in administering end-user computing environments, including managing operating systems, software configurations, and ensuring robust security protocols.
  • Adept in networking, capable of managing and maintaining network infrastructure, optimizing performance, and collaborating on network improvements.
  • Knowledgeable in overseeing digital signage systems, ensuring content accuracy, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Competent in managing IT hardware and infrastructure, performing routine maintenance, monitoring system performance, and implementing enhancements to ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
