JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer will lead the process and mechanical design of assigned projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely submissions and approvals of designs, prioritize quality work for maximum client satisfaction, and optimize designs for cost efficiency and timely completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the process and mechanical design of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to client specifications and project timelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute duties professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate with supporting teams to ensure accurate preparation of engineering documents and deliverables within the desired schedule.
- Work closely with Gradiant Proposal and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to integrate proprietary technologies into commercial applications.
- Translate project-specific Heat & Mass Balance into system Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Prepare and review project documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment calculations, specifications, RFQ packages, and operation manuals.
- Size and select system components in accordance with supplier guidelines to meet process guarantees.
- Identify and provide solutions for technical issues related to process design and engineering.
- Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to establish equipment specifications and coordinate cost control efforts.
- Support Gradiant subsidiaries and projects globally as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other related disciplines.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Engineering, Construction, design, or related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of the Mechanical/Piping Construction process.
- Ability to read and interpret ISO/GA/P&ID drawings.
- Familiar and experience with various water and wastewater technologies & EPC projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal/communication skills, writing and problem-solving capacities.
- Reliable, well-organized and detail oriented.
