JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent will carry out civil and structural design for water treatment plants. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing various structures such as concrete slabs, piles, tanks, equipment pedestals, pipe supports, skids, and pipe racks for water and wastewater facilities.
Job scope:
- Carry out civil and structural design for water treatment plants, ensuring compliance with local rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Prepare drawings and organize design reviews for various structural elements.
- Review project specifications, manufacturer submittals, and local standards to ensure compliance.
- Produce load, pressure, stress calculations, and conduct structural analysis.
- Analyze structure designs and recommend modifications as necessary.
- Provide technical advice on construction materials and installation methods.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel on design submissions to relevant authorities and follow up for approval.
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, contractors, and suppliers to resolve project issues.
- Guide designers in preparing structural drawings and coordinate requirements with other disciplines.
- Work closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering,
- At least 5 years of experience in water and wastewater facilities or related industrial field preferred.
- Proficient with concrete structures, steel structures, civil works
- Knowledge of Codes and standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Staad Pro, Autocad
