WSH Assistant Manager

Description:

  • Report directly to the CEO.
  • Familiar with the Workplace Safety & Health Act and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations and policies.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of workplace health and safety plans and programmes to continually improve safety and health performance across all applicable business activities of the organization.
  • Work with operational teams to identify and assess any foreseeable risks in all applicable business activities through a robust risk assessment and management system.
  • Investigate all incidents, advise corrective and preventive actions, and assist in the generation of reports.
  • Develop and drive health and safety audit and inspection systems across all levels in the company.
  • Plan and provide relevant safety training and guidance to promote health and safety awareness and foster safe culture.
  • Act as the MOM/NEA correspondent to ensure that safety/environmental guidelines are adhered with the objective to attain zero-accident rate
  • Leads safety committee and chairs safety meetings.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation on all related matters to WSH.
  • Work closely with all departments in WSH-related matters.
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately with clients & business partners, always speaking with an understanding of tone and choice of words.
  • Any other adhoc tasks delegated by management.


Requirements:

  • A recognized diploma course or bachelors degree related to environmental and occupational health and safety.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Safety & Health as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer registered with Ministry of Manpower.
  • Experience working with MOH or other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare industry would be good to have.
  • Experience working with elderly in the community would be good to have.
  • Hands-on and enjoys community setting.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT.
  • Working on weekends maybe required.
  • Singaporean & PR only.
