The Senior Executive plays a critical role in providing payroll administration support for the University.
He/She manages the end-to-end payroll administration, ensures compliance to statutory requirements, government legislation and group policies and standards, supports adhoc projects, reporting needs and attends to queries raised.
Job Description
- Handle monthly payroll processing for both full time and part time staff, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Assist with all payroll-related payments, allowances, other miscellaneous payments and deductions
- Process statutory contributions and tax filing
- Respond promptly and professionally to employees inquiries on payroll matters, and attend to both internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance to statutory requirements, government legislation and group policies and standards.
- Assist in adhoc requests for reports and data requested by stakeholders.
- Support journal reclassification.
- Support in various payroll related projects and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree preferably in Accountancy, Business, Human Resources or its equivalent.
- Preferably 3-4 years of working experience in handling payroll, with strong understanding of payroll (including tax) principles and practices.
- Proficient in Payroll Software and Microsoft Office applications especially Excel
- Organized and meticulous in handling numbers and data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Positive working attitude and service-oriented mind-set.
