Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical individual to join our Corporate Finance team as a Finance Assistant Manager [Taiwan MNC] (a new set-up in Singapore). In this crucial role, you will play a vital role supporting the Finance Manager and contributing significantly to the success of the department's strategic initiatives. You will take ownership of complex financial tasks and projects.

Note: Occasional travel (20%) to Taiwan will be required.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic support to the Corporate Finance team, ensuring efficient operations and project execution.
  • Assist the corporation in Financial Reporting, Analysis & Planning.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, including variance analysis and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance and support strategic objectives.
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes, including liaising with auditors and addressing audit findings.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
  • In the absence of the Finance Manager, assume full responsibility for the team and their activities, leading and overseeing all aspects of the department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate finance or a related role.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to speak mandarin to liaise with Taiwan counterparts is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to Taiwan approximately 20% of the time.
