Overview:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical individual to join our Corporate Finance team as a Finance Assistant Manager [Taiwan MNC] (a new set-up in Singapore). In this crucial role, you will play a vital role supporting the Finance Manager and contributing significantly to the success of the department's strategic initiatives. You will take ownership of complex financial tasks and projects.
Note: Occasional travel (20%) to Taiwan will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to the Corporate Finance team, ensuring efficient operations and project execution.
- Assist the corporation in Financial Reporting, Analysis & Planning.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, including variance analysis and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance and support strategic objectives.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes, including liaising with auditors and addressing audit findings.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
- In the absence of the Finance Manager, assume full responsibility for the team and their activities, leading and overseeing all aspects of the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate finance or a related role.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to speak mandarin to liaise with Taiwan counterparts is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel to Taiwan approximately 20% of the time.
