Role:
As a system design engineer your primary responsibility is to design and develop complex systems to meet specific requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Analysis:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of functionality, performance, and constraints.
- System Architecture:Design the overall architecture of the system, including subsystems, interfaces, and interactions, to meet the specified requirements.
- Component Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate components, technologies, and platforms to implement the system design, considering factors such as cost, performance, and compatibility.
- Prototyping and Modeling: Develop prototypes or models to validate the system design and assess its feasibility, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance and functionality.
- Integration: Coordinate the integration of subsystems and components, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation across the entire system.
- Testing and Verification: Develop test plans and procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the system design, conducting tests and analyses to validate its performance against requirements.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation of the system design, including specifications, diagrams, and technical reports, to support implementation, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and integration of system design activities with overall project goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the system design, developing mitigation strategies to address them and minimize their impact on project success.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system design, incorporating new knowledge and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of design processes.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year experience in work on various communication systems technologies such as fibre-optic transmissions, digital trunked radio, public address and telephony, CCTV surveillance, access management and travel information systems preferred.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to work outside of prime office hours as required.
- Self-motivated and Service oriented.
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance.
