We are seeking an experienced Senior Welder and Welding Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Singapore. This role is crucial in maintaining the high-quality standards of our welding processes and products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and inspect welding projects to ensure they meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex welding operations using various welding equipment and techniques, ensuring high-quality welds.
- Inspect welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify flaws and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of welders, providing guidance and training to improve their skills and ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and implement welding procedures and quality control protocols, including preparing welding procedure specifications (WPS) as required.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to plan welding projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of all welding activities, inspections, and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
- Stay updated on the latest welding technologies and industry standards to continuously improve welding processes and quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or inspection role.
- Professional certification in welding and/or welding inspection from a recognized institution.
- Profound knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and quality control measures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and design models.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
- Must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR).
