The Infrastructure and Database Lead provides leadership to the maintenance and operation of enterprise IT systems and database. The responsibilities include working with platform team to ensure quality deliverables, mentoring junior level staff, and identifying issues that affect system operations.
To be successful in this role, you should exhibit knowledge in both traditional monolith architecture and modern cloud / Kubernetes architecture. He or she should also possess good operational experience supporting enterprise databases such as Oracle DB, Oracle Golden Gate and MySQL in fully redundant setup.
Responsibilities:
- Support and Operate an IT infrastructure within the organization that drives growth, automation, and user experience across each department.
- Work with stakeholders on current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured, and maintained.
- Provide technical consultation on the support and operation of monolith platform and cloud/Kubernetes platform to support seamless user experience.
Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5 years of industry experience.
- 5 or more years of experience with monolith platform such as Oracle DB, Oracle Golden Gate, Ms SQL, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, networking, firewall, load balancer, servers..
- Experience with cloud/Kubernetes technologies such as Azure, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Prometuous, Splunk.
- Good knowledge of Certificates, DNS, DHCP, Oauth, Authentication, Authorization.
- Comfortable writing utilities using Java, python, perl and/or bash
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team, independently and with client.
Good to have:
- Experience in Application Servers like WebSphere will be an advantage.
- Experience in Red hat OpenShift will be an advantage.
- Experience in Public Sector implementation is an advantage.
