We are looking for an Accountant for one of our ship owner clients. Reporting to the CEO directly, the incumbent will need to have at least 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Operating company accounts on QuickBooks accounting software.
- Responsible for full set of accounts and monthly accounts closing.
- Perform bookkeeping such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Costing, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Bank Reconciliation in both QuickBooks and excel schedule.
- Prepare and maintain records of purchases and payments.
- Adhere company mode of payments.
- Prepare financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet according to the FRS and GAAP standards.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS.
- Liaise with the external auditor, tax agents and company corporate secretary.
- Respond to remittance and other bank queries.
- Reports to the Directors and handles ad-hoc assignments.
- Handling company HR matters and duties such as interviewing potential candidates, managing monthly payroll, monthly CPF submission and yearly employee's income tax submission.
- Handling company administrative matters such as replenish office pantry supplies, stationery supplies and opening company mailbox.
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus.
- Preferably at least 4 years of relevant working experience, Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and time management.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to Accounting softwares.
- Attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
