Description:
- To take instructions from the Overall Site Project Coordinator.
- To ensure that the Civil, building and its related works are constructed in accordance with Drawings and Specifications and the Building Control Act and Regulations.
- To monitor and report on the progress of civil and structural engineering works.
- To carry out inspection of civil and structural engineering works prior to concreting.
- To supervise concreting/ spalling concrete repair work, hoisting of components and demolition works.
- To carry out checks on compaction and curing of concrete.
- To carry out audit checks on striking of formwork, re-props and removal of props.
- To carry out audit checks on quality and erection of precast components, if applicable.
- To facilitate audits by HDB’s representatives or other relevant authorities on the work-site housekeeping, environmental control, construction safety, quality of the works and Project documentation.
- To carry out audit checks on construction of joints such as pressure grouting and splice sleeve grouting.
- To check on structural steel works.
- To carry out inspections on structural defects rectification works.
- To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Overall Site Project Coordinator/ Site Project Coordinator.
- To ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, materials and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated, properly kept.
- To attend site, progress, variation, and coordination meetings.
- To verify all reports and claims relating to Civil & Structural / Mechanical & Electrical Engineering works submitted by the Project contractor,
- To resolve Project contractor’s technical queries.
- To liaise with all relevant authorities.
- To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the Site Project Coordinator.
- To ensure that structural works (including spalling concrete and structural cracks repair and defects rectification) are carried out in a safe and proper manner.
- To obtain the duly endorsed method statements and drawings for the spalling concrete and structural cracks repair and supervise them accordingly.
- To assist the Site Project Coordinators to conduct inspection of the completed building for Works.
- To carry out audit check on the safety provisions on site.
- To provide feedback on site problems, safety issues, discrepancies and irregularities to the Site Project Coordinator.
Requirement :
- At least 3 years relevant working experience in the supervision of Civil & Structural aspect of works;
- Accredited as Resident Technical Officers with The Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES);
- Proficient in using Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint;
