You will be part of the Construction Materials Centre that carries out testing on a wide range of construction related materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform petrographic analysis and evaluation on aggregate/concrete samples
- Develop new and customized test procedures, review test standards, as well as prepare test reports
- Explore new test area for market needs.
- Design and set-up text fixtures for customized test procedures
- Review SOP, risk assessments and ensure compliance to safety and quality standards
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to clients, vendors and staff
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of various laboratories and their facilities
- Upkeeping quality requirement for the Centre for SAC accreditation.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Geology, working experience in construction or testing industries will be advantageous.
- Familiarity to ISO 9001 and 17025 standards would be an added advantage
- Result and service-oriented individual who possesses initiative and good communication skills
- A proactive team player but with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
- Enthusiastic and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude
