XCL World Academy has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager who will assist the Associate Director of Marketing in developing new partnership channels.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events and partnerships for local and regional business expansion strategies.
- Conduct research on customer behaviour and market trends.
- Analyse business trends and marketing opportunities through agent, exhibition or partners channels.
- To engage and liaise with external partners for media buy and execution (out-of-home, print media, etc.)
- Planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing school events and group events, including school parent fronting and external partners events – including both onsite and offsite events.
- Act as project manager for events held by/at XWA and XAA; and co-ordinate with respective departments for event planning and execution.
- Responsible for ensuring the completion of detailed event plans and risk analyses with event owners, marketing team and other related teams and suppliers.
- Organize events/sponsorship with the school’s business partners and as part of the school’s community outreach programme (grassroot community, business chambers, corporate partners, etc).
- Maintain complete and accurate records of events held, along with a database of preferred suppliers for event services.
- Work with communication personnel in developing messages for distribution to participants
Person Specifications
- Minimum Degree in Marketing, Communication or other relevant courses.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years in a similar role.
- Exceptional written and spoken English language skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Good organization, time management, prioritizing, and planning skills.
- Strategic thinker and professional networking skills.
- Professional and presentable appearance and conduct.
- Passion for design and a highly creative, innovative personality.
- Highly detail-oriented and ability to take initiative and come up with new ideas.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in working in a school environment is an added advantage.
