Chemyst Tuition Centre Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry Tutor to join our educational team. We are committed to providing high-quality tutoring services to students to help them achieve academic success in the field of chemistry.
Job Description: The Chemistry Tutor will be responsible for providing one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students in various chemistry subjects, ranging from basic concepts to advanced topics. The tutor will assess the learning needs and abilities of each student, develop personalized study plans, and use effective teaching methods to enhance their understanding and performance in chemistry. The syllabus to be taught will be IGCSE, IP (Leading to IB) and IB Chemistry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tutoring sessions in-person or online for high school and/or junior college-level chemistry courses.
- Create individualized learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Utilize various teaching methods and tools to explain complex chemistry concepts clearly and effectively.
- Assign and review homework, conduct practice tests, and provide feedback to students to improve their understanding and academic performance.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in chemistry and teaching methodologies.
- Travelling to the centre at Clementi/Holland Village is needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry strictly.
- Proven experience as a chemistry tutor or teacher, with a strong track record of improving student learning outcomes. With at least 6 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and parents.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools if the tutoring is to be conducted online.
