- Provide direct reports to the technical manager on the progress of scheduled vessel machinery or equipment shutdowns for maintenance, repair, and servicing of marine machinery & subsystems conducted by subordinates.
- Oversee a team of mechanics to ensure the safe shutdown, isolation, overhaul, calibration, commissioning, and testing of marine main propulsion 4-stroke diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, cargo pumps, and deck machinery, while also monitoring daily work activities and progress.
- Perform tasks and activities, including standard maintenance and repair work such as preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring they are executed safely and effectively in workshops or onboard vessels, such as engine rooms, pump rooms, or decks.
Requirements:
- Nitec in Marine/Marine technology/Mechanical/Aero Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of Seagoing or offshore experience as a Marine Engineer Officer (MEO), handling at least 3000 KW, meeting STCW Standard A-III/3.
- Prior experience as a service engineer working with marine diesel engines, turbochargers, or marine equipment is an added advantage.
