Responsibiliies:
- Manage all aspects of data centre and cloud services
- Provide consultancy, validation and documentation, such as network diagrams, on network access e.g. firewall rules, to network
- Provide consultancy and validation to ensure that network access requirements, submitted by the Customers, are in accordance with defined policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and to address the areas of noncompliance
- Document network access requirements
- Develop and validate the cabling and equipment mounting requirements e.g. power consumption
- and floor loading limits, are in accordance with defined policies and SOPs for Customer’s cabling and equipment within the equipment racks in the data centres
- Document cabling and equipment mounting requirements into Rack Mount Plan (RMP)
- Deliver cloud resources using service portal provided by cloud service providers
- Manage the movement of equipment in/out of the data centres and physical access to equipment racks in accordance with defined policies and SOPs
- Manage DC resources e.g. network cabling to equipment racks
- Support all periodic maintenance tasks e.g. annual power shutdown, for data centre operations
Requirement
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of related facility management experience in data centre operations (or related electrical or mechanical engineering fields) with at least 3 years of experience in managing data centre operations in a large scale mission critical environment
- Good knowledge of system design, such as 3-tier architecture (Web, Application and Database)
- Extensive knowledge of structured cabling systems, networking and connectivity standards, and hardware installation requirements
- Proficient experience in colocation operations, including the installation and deployment of cage, rack and cable infrastructure, as well as power circuit installation and power monitoring
- Experience working with and deploying telecom and network providers, specifically in Meet Me Room
- and POP room environments, and in managing a change control environment
- Good knowledge of industry’s data centre standards, policies and methodologies
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Data Centre
- Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and power metering systems
- Self-motivated and pro-active in identifying new opportunities for the account
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills - Effective communication skills, both in written and presentation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problem
