Supports the Group CFO in the overall financial management and reporting activities of the Association, and administrative and financial tasks including invoicing, budgeting, generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analysing trends.
Responsibilities:
- Handles and assists in supervision of daily financial & accounting matters
- Prepares Journal entries, bank transactions etc
- Handles monthly financial closing and reporting
- Assists in annual financial reporting and yearly budget preparation
- Supervises and provides guidance to Finance staff in problem solving on accounting issues
- Handles GST and related matters, filing of statistical reports to government agencies
- Assists to supervise insurance renewal and oversees insurance claims (if any)
- Supports annual audit process and liaise with auditors when necessary
- Supports and be involved in Fund raising events
- Performs other related duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time.
Pre-requisites
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in similar position and GST knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Words, Excel, Powerpoint
- Preferably with Oracle software knowledge
- Able to work independently and prioritize to meet reporting timelines and communication skills
- A good team player
