The FairPrice Group Supply Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head for Upstream Logistics who will help originate, construct and execute strategic deals with a wide variety of partners, suppliers and customers. Your role will be pivotal in driving growth, fostering innovation, and expanding our network for upstream logistics. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to identify, negotiate, and execute partnerships that align with our strategic objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive upstream logistics strategy aligned with the goals and vision of FPG SC BU.
  • Identify and prioritize potential partners across various segments of upstream logistics, including suppliers, technology providers, internal customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within partner organizations.
  • Lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial partnership agreements, including terms related to technology integration, joint ventures, licensing, and commercial collaborations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of upstream logistics initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market dynamics.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to upstream logistics, including revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the upstream logistics sectors.
  • Establish collaborative relationships that align with organizational goals and drive innovation and market growth.
  • Lead negotiations and ensure the successful execution of agreements, meeting timelines and deliverables.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate initiatives seamlessly into organizational strategies and operations.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and impact.
  • Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimization, driving continuous enhancement of business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to structure and close complex partnership agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and optimize business performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly produce high quality, thorough output in an ever-changing environment;
  • Knowledge of the automotive, and/or fleet space, or at least some familiarity with the industry and trends.
