Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Investment Services Business Analyst to join our dynamic team for an Aladdin implementation project. In this role, you will serve as a key player in our multi-asset trading desk, supporting various products including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and funds. Your expertise in these asset classes, along with your strong business analysis skills, will contribute to the development and enhancement of our investment services.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a Business Analyst for the multi-asset trading desk, collaborating closely with stakeholders, particularly traders and portfolio managers, to understand and address their business challenges and requirements. This includes trade aggregation, allocation, and connectivity using FIX protocol and EMS.
- Utilize your in-depth product knowledge of fixed income, equities, derivatives, and funds to provide valuable insights and solutions to support trading desk operations.
- Partner with vendors and other internal workstreams to integrate Aladdin/eFront platform that align with business requirements. This includes preparing proposals, driving development, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Manage key vendor relationships to improve the quality of solutions and leverage their expertise to enhance our investment services.
- Embrace an open-minded approach, actively listening to and considering different views from stakeholders to make decisions that maximize customer satisfaction and create win-win solutions.
- Execute initiatives with discipline and transparency, balancing the need for change and driving desired outcomes.
- Manage relationships with all key technology and data services used by the firm, ensuring effective utilization and alignment with business needs.
- Participate in enhancement activities, identifying and qualifying improvement opportunities across investment services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in the asset management industry, with a strong focus on supporting front-office operations.
- Solution and problem-solving orientation: Ability to break down problems into root causes and address underlying issues, even if they are not solely system related.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving, adapting to dynamic market conditions and client needs.
- Customer service mindset and data culture, demonstrating patience, understanding, and assistance when dealing with challenging clients.
- Strong system skills in Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, and Eagle are highly desired and high-level influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral skills, with experience in writing business requirements, creating presentations, and building business cases.
