Connect Energy is looking for an ELECTRICAL COMMISSIONING ENGINEER to work for a FPSO project in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Role and Responsibilities of Lead Electrical Engineer are expected, which include but not limited to Engineering Guidance, Schedule Management, Quality Assurance, and Delivery of electrical deliverables by proactive efforts.
- Take lead in preparation of inquiry documents for electrical equipment and construction materials, PO specifications, bidder drawing review and technical clarification/evaluation of bidder’s offers.
- Assist procurement team as required during ordering stage.
- Electrical system design, including review and finalizing of electrical deliverables such as single line diagram, electrical load analysis, electrical equipment layout, hazardous area plan, electrical main cable route etc.
- Electrical detail design, including review and finalizing various detailed engineering drawings along with MTO, like power and control wiring layout, cable tray layout, earthing layout, lighting layout, communication system layout etc. prepared by Detailed Engineering Contractor.
- Support mechanical (rotating/static/package) disciplines in preparation of related electrical specifications, data sheets, vendor print review, and technical clarifications of electrical related requirements in bidder’s offers etc.
- Coordination with other disciplines, engineering subcontractors, vendors, and client etc.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 15 years of experience in field of Electrical Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning in Oil & Gas Offshore Projects or FPSO or Power Generation Plants.
- Have proven references of handling electrical design, such as power generation and distribution, load schedule, cable routing, hazardous classification, lighting system, earthing and lightening, electrical heat tracing etc., and known electrical interface with other disciplines.
- Experience for review of electrical detail engineering deliverables prepared by subcontractors.
- Familiar with operation of MS, AutoCAD, ETAP, SPEL software.
- Willing to travel to module fabrication yards, FATs, client meetings etc.
- Assisting module construction team during module fabrication, commissioning, and mechanical completion.
- Willing to take on 12 months contract.
