The Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing the company's financial records, compile financial statements and ensuring financial compliance. This role also executes a variety of financial procedures including month-end / year-end closing, accounts payable and receivables, tax returns, general ledger review, forecasting and budgeting as well as treasury function.
Job Scope
1. Handle management accounting and statutory reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and disclosure notes
- Maintain accurate journal entries and allocations
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Reconcile accounts and provide analysis for the organization's financial transactions
2. Support strategic planning initiatives
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
3. Support working capital management/ treasury functions
- Cashflow managements and ensuring idle cash are put in good use as well as ensuring banker's guarantee are renewed on time.
4. Process business transactions and reports using information technology tools
- Administrator for Netsuite system and ensuring that all functions are working efficiently.
- Extract data and provide analysis for management using relevant accounting information systems or software
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, business activity reports and forecasts for management and external stakeholders
- Ensure the organization comply with regulations involving the filing of financial and tax statements
5. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting
- Supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to work as a tea, or independently
