Job Summary


This role provides product development and implementation and assists other product related initiatives, supporting TLB to develop and maintain market-competitive HNW products and services. This includes collecting and organizing market intelligence to perform external and internal competitive analysis and proactively plan for future product development, understanding our target customers, benchmarking our propositions vs. key competitors and supporting feasibility testing of new ideas. It also includes maintaining TLB’s sales illustration software on user acceptance testing and system enhancement.


The key result indicators for this role are:


  • Actionable insight on market trends, needs and opportunities
  • Clear analysis to support decision-making
  • Up-to-date profiles of TLB customers
  • TransWare software maintained to support sales


Responsibilities


  • Analyze and benchmark TLB’s existing and new propositions versus key competitors. Identify TLB’s respective strengths and weaknesses.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations that tell a story and support management decision-making.
  • Perform indicative pricing analysis to understand feasibility of new proposition ideas, campaigns and enhancements (in collaboration with Actuarial Department).
  • Keep TLB’s software up-to-date, conduct user acceptance testing, coordinate with IT and external vendors as needed.
  • Update the sales illustration manual for distribution partners.
  • Co-ordinate with Actuarial or Underwriting for any tailor-made illustration requests from distribution partners.
  • Describe TLB existing and future target customers.
  • Identify opportunities to preserve or create value in our customer base.
  • Orchestrate all of the above with smooth and proactive communication across the organization.
  • Participate in ad-hoc assignment in team.


Requirements


  • Degree in relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, including life insurance market analysis and product development
  • Familiarity with HNW market and products
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications including Excel, World and PowerPoint
  • Good problem solving & analytical skills
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Resilient in handling multi-tasks with tight deadline
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly
