We are now looking for a UI/UX Designer who share in our purpose to drive the navigation and aesthetic design of our proprietary learning platform, ZilLearn.
Working under the supervision of the Product Manager Lead, and collaborating with a team comprising business development and solutions consultants, UX researcher and software engineers, you are responsible for innovating and improving ZilLearn’s UI/UX to make the platform navigation of ZilLearn a frictionless and delightful experience.
On a given work week, you will:
- Drive design problem-solving end-to-end, from identifying user needs, generating concepts to defining and creating a product and crafting how people will interact with it.
- Synthesis business, technology, user and content requirements into design concepts and set direction for the development of prototypes, user flows, design patterns and mocks-up.
- Communicate design concepts and design decisions, and explain trade-offs in a compelling way to stakeholders to get buy-in.
- Work closely with lead product manager to shape the product roadmap by sharing human-centred design perspectives.
- Co-conduct research and testing with researchers.
- Review work of junior designers and provide technical guidance to improve designs. Where applicable, work with vendors to achieve project outcomes.
- Others ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in UI/UX Design.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the designprocess.
- Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch,Figma).
- Experience working with early-stage efforts, negotiating with ambiguity and driving projects forward.
- Portfolio highlighting multiple projects that demonstrates experience crafting digital interfaces, and designing consumer-focused, app/mobile products.
- Excellent application interaction and visual design skills and a portfolio of interactive consumer-facing mobile products.
- A critical thinker and problem solver.
- Detailed, organised and display professionalism under pressure.
- Team player and able to work in cross functional and matrix teams.
