Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose of Job: Supervise in Laundry operation to process soiled linen and prepare cleaned linen for delivery according to customers' specification and requirement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate laundry's machinery and equipment.
- Sort soiled linen according to specification prior to the washing process.
- Conduct quality control on cleaned linen before delivery according to quality standards.
- Packing of linen to be delivered to customers.
- Remove any unacceptable linen (stained/torn/poor finishing) and foreign objects detected during the process.
- Loading of washed linen and unloading of soiled linen from laundry vehicles daily.
- Wash and sanitizing of linen trolleys daily where applicable.
- Check, count and prepare delivery order for cleaned linen before delivery.
- Perform job rotation as required. Able to perform shift work and working on weekend and Public Holidays.
- Required to work in a standing position for long hours.
- Able to perform duty at customers site on soiled linen collection and distribute cleaned linen when required.
- Ensure timely and accurate checking of monthly summary report provided by laundry vendors against delivery orders received.
- Ensure timely and accurate checking of delivery orders against packing lists items
- Ensure adequate linen items are delivered to users at all times. Ensure linens are store neat and tidy.
- Prepare monthly staff roster.
- Follow WSH practices and regulations. Identify and recognize workplace risks and hazards if any.
- Complete and submit daily,weekly and monthly reports
- To perform any other duties as directed by manager.
