Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be part of the Strategic Marketing team and will support a wide range of regional marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Carry out detailed secondary research to identify business needs, challenges, and opportunities in different markets in APAC region.
- Track macro-economic indicators, derive insights from macro data and publish the insights to APAC countries for business planning.
- Use research tools and insights to evaluate existing markets in new ways and understand new markets better. These include including macro trends, market sizing, opportunities & threats, changing dynamics, competition, and emerging trends.
- Perform business analysis and reporting for assigned projects, reviews, and presentations.
- Present the findings and recommendations in a meaningful and comprehensive way.
- Contribute in cross-functional projects - market evaluation, resource planning, problem solving, operational plan and participate in execution.
- Determine the dashboards, analysis and data requirements and deliver on them with defined frequency for future business planning & problem solving.
Requirements
- Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in business/sciences/engineering from a reputed institution. An MBA will be an added advantage.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in market research and analysis, preferably within large corporates, or with consulting or market research companies.
- Industry experience in Speciality Chemicals, Materials, Packaging & Labelling, Paints, Printing Inks, Graphic Arts, or similar sectors would be highly desirable, but not essential.
- Innovative mindset. Ability to read future market trends.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent business communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Flair for writing formal reports and making presentations.
- Ability to collect and manage large amounts of data.
- Positive, “Can do” attitude. Strong personal drive. Ability to work independently.
