As the Credit Risk Manager at our car dealership, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the loan approval process, assess hirers' creditworthiness, and manage the credit control team. You will play a crucial role in determining appropriate interest rates, loan commissions to referral partners, and ensuring timely payments from hirers. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing floor stock financing with our dealer-partners, monitoring collections, and ensuring compliance with the financing agreements. Your strong communication skills and customer service mindset will be essential in leading the credit control team to reduce defaults and maintaining positive relationships with hirers and car dealers.
Responsibilities:
Credit Policy Development: Develop and improve on current credit scoring system for loan approvals based on comprehensive credit evaluations. Establish credit assessment criteria, loan-to-value ratios, and credit terms aligned with industry best practices. Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Loan Approval Process: Evaluate hirers' credit profiles through litigation checks and other relevant information to determine their creditworthiness. Analyze loan amounts and car valuations to establish appropriate interest rates and loan commissions for car dealers.
Credit Control Management: Lead and manage the credit control team responsible for timely collections and payment reminders to hirers. Implement strategies to reduce defaults and improve overall collection rates while providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with our lawyers to initiate appropriate legal actions against defaulters, including sending letters of demand, writ of summons, and bankruptcy applications.
Floor Stock Financing: Oversee the floor stock financing operations, ensuring timely collection of interest payments from car dealers. Arrange the credit control team to perform regular stock audits to verify the presence and condition of vehicles. Monitor compliance with floor stock financing agreements and take prompt action in case of any breaches.
System Utilization: Utilize the ERP system developed by Webmaster Consultancy for loan approval processes. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to transition the floor stock financing operations onto the ERP system. Provide input and recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for loan approvals and credit control activities, such as loan numbers, default rates, and floor stock financing compliance. Monitor and analyze these metrics regularly, preparing reports to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance or any field. Relevant certifications or additional coursework in credit management or finance will be advantageous.
Proven experience in loan approval, credit control, or related roles within the financial services or automotive industry.
Strong analytical skills to assess creditworthiness, evaluate financial data, and make informed decisions.
Experience in developing credit scoring systems and managing legal actions for debt recovery.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with hirers, car dealers, and internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in using financial software and tools. Experience with Webmaster Consultancy's ERP system is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in financial calculations and documentation.
Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate a credit control team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations and negotiate with hirers or car dealers to resolve payment issues.
Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to lending, credit control, and floor stock financing in Singapore.

Mon-Fri 0845-1745 & Sat 0845-1245 (Alternate Sat off)
5.25 days work week
