- Develop cost plans and contract documentation including budgetary estimates, bills of quantities and cost optional studies.
- Demonstrated experience across all aspects of cost management on a range of projects from feasibility studies to final account close-out
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluate, and prepare tender reports, review contractor valuations and other relevant documentation.
- Motivate team members, and drive towards positive client outcomes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Critically analyze, challenge and brainstorm project requirements and deliverables, in order to find creative solutions and alternatives on behalf of clients
- To take line management responsibility as required
Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or similar discipline with more than 10 years’ international experience working on complex industrial, science and technology projects (data center, manufacturing, lifescience/pharma etc) as a cost consultant.
- English language skills are required and additional Asia language skills would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, and strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables
- A passion for work, and a strong commitment to producing high quality work, and in motivating others to strive for excellence, and to go the extra mile to meet client requirements.
- Experience in client management with solid experience in client facing environment that requires incumbent to utilize critical business development skills and advisory skills to enhance project delivery on value management, value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Be able to develop new business and leverage current opportunities to grow a cost management team.
- An ambition and ability to help develop Cost Management business in-country or/and Asia is essential
