Our Client:
Our client is a multinational corporation operating on a global scale within the energy markets, with a primary focus on oil and gas, as well as various other commodities. As part of their expansion efforts, they are actively seeking for a Quantitative Analyst to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
- Execute, validate, and maintain both existing and novel models/tools, utilizing them for the assessment and enhancement of new LNG transactions/portfolios. This encompasses the evaluation of embedded optionality, pricing, and risk, contributing value to and fostering the growth of the portfolio across both liquid and illiquid markets. The scope of work involves addressing diverse LNG deal terms, spanning prompt, short-term, and long-term agreements
- Contribute to portfolio optimization activities by assessing optionality and risks inherent in the current LNG portfolio
- Produce high-quality code, encompassing the review and enhancement of pre-existing code within specified deadlines
- Stay abreast of advancements in quantitative models and methodologies, and update models/tools as necessary
- Provide pertinent quantitative analyses to support the decision-making process in commercial activities
The Requirements:
- With Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent discipline
- Familiarity with Energy Markets, including but not limited to LNG, gas, power, or environmental product markets
- Solid understanding of optimization principles, probability, and financial concepts
- Proficient in Python/C++; familiarity with additional languages such as Java is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to function in intricate team dynamics, with experience in coordinating efforts across multiple locations highly desirable
- Capability to convey model outputs and analysis results in a clear, concise, and understandable manner
