Duties and scope of work for Supervisor at Kidsville Student Care Centre at Yishun.
1.Plan, co-ordinate and oversee all the programmes, activities and facilities required for the provision of holistic afterschool Student Care services which includes:
- Maintenance and cleanliness of the premises to ensure that students have a comfortable "second home" for conducive stay and learning.
- Scheduling of fetching of students from schools afte dismissal/extra classes/activities.
- Planning balanced nutritious meals with a variety menu incorporating the children;s favourite dishes and monitoring the preparation of the meals.
- Scheduling Tuition/Study Time to reinforce what the students learn in school and guide them in their homework and revision work.
- Provision of play environment where students are encouraged to mingle and interact with their friends during their play time.
- Having close rapport with parents to keep parents informed of their children's progress and wellbeing.
2. Plan and arrange various school holiday programme activities:
- Workout costing for the individual activities
- issue consent form to seek consent from the parents and collection of the fees.
- Arrange for transport for the outings/excursions. Allocate staff and oversee to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students.
- Plan the preparation and coordination of the outdoor meals/tea breaks during the outings/excursions.
3. Handle SSNet SCFA (SFinancial Assistance) matters with MSF
- Process and submit online new/renew SCFA Applications on behalf of the parents
- Submit 6 monthly reports to MSF
- Facilitate auditing by SCFA/MSF officers
4. Handle staff mattters
- Maintain staff attendance,approve leave application of the team membes (3 teachers, 2 cook cum cleaners and 1 cleaner) and ensure all duties and services are provided when any team member is away
- Process staff OT claims and submit to Management
5. Handle collection/recording fees and submit to accounts.
- Provide monthly update of enrolments/withdrawals to Accounts.
6. Conduct regular meetings with the staff for discussion of any problems/issues/feedback and to fine tune things immediately if necessary. Record minutes of the meetings for management's information.
7. Monitor and approve groceries required for the kitchen:
- Issue weekly petty cash to the cook for other purchases and check and clear the purchases for submission to Accounts.
8. Source and prepare the contents for the Weekly Character Building Activity for the students. Hold weekly discussions with the teachers to guide them to facilitate the activity for their respective level of students.
9. Keep track of students' behaviour, academic progress and provide assistance to the students and teachers in resolving any issues.
Ensure consistency and fairness among the teachers in handling the students.
10. Provide councelling for the teachers and students as and when required.
Take over classroom management/teaching as and when teachers are away on Annual leave.
