Gradiant is seeking a CAD/BIM Manager to support CAD Design engineering & BIM Modelling work for Water & Wastewater Treatment Projects in Asia Pacific region. The candidate should have goods technical, organizational and communication skills related to developing, supporting, and managing CAD/BIM detail design & engineering work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement BIM/Design Execution Plan & Ensuring that BIM/Design execution plans are produced and maintained for each project.
- Responsible for overseeing all CAD/BIM works on selected projects.
- Development, implementation and enforcement of CAD/BIM design standards and documentation
- Ensure compliance with approved design standards to provide quality designs.
- Responsible for coordination and assistance in CAD/BIM implementation on projects.
- Coordinate with the CAD/BIM team and design team to solve day to day modelling and coordination issues as required.
- Hold coordination meetings with design team.
- Co-ordinate with BIM modellers/Drafters of all disciplines to ensure all models are produced on schedule.
- Lead and Manage CAD/BIM teams (both on-site and off-site) & fulfil the project deliverables.
- Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients so that projects remain efficient and effective.
- Check model quality and integrity prior to generation of deliverables before issuing of model information.
- CAD/BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up.
- Prepare and Develop Coordinated Combined Service Model (CCSM) and generate Combined Services drawings and structural, Electrical and Mechanical with the use of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks etc.)
- Managing BIM standards, resources, and application configuration. Adhering to the latest industry standards.
- Producing monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation.
- Arrange/guide CCSM & Site co-ordination meeting.
- Assist project teams by providing and formatting information from virtual models throughout the lifecycle of a project, including utilization of models and visualizations for presentations and reporting.
- Evaluate customer requirements.
- Review and comment on Proposal Documents relative to BIM utilization
- Review and provide written comment report on Designers’ and Contractors’ BIM Execution Plans
- Liaise with the Authority and the Contractor to ensure changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
- Supporting and auditing the project team and flagging non-compliances
- Coordination of processes for complete model life cycle development and functionality (3D, 4D, 5D, & 6D model development and integration)
- Coordinate the review and validation of construction models (including 4D/5D contractor model submittals)
- Develop the requirements and standards for integrating submittals, manufacturer’s data and as-built information into the BIM model.
- Work closely with the Mechanical and piping engineer to ensure the designs are applicable and feasible.
- Facilitate model handover from designer to installation contractor.
- Identify and Training/upskilling colleagues in specific software programmes.
- Support other engineering, project management, installation, commissioning, and operation department as per the supervisor’s instruction and company requirements.
- The job scope may require travelling and working outside Singapore.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Structural engineering or similar qualification.
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience for CAD/BIM detail design and 3D model design work for engineering projects
- Software Proficiencies in: Autodesk Revit & BIM 360, Bentley products, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Autodesk Inventor
- Technical experience Plusses
- Tank, Skids and plant piping design in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
- Autodesk Inventor and other 3D modeling software knowledge & experience
- Autodesk BIM 360 knowledge & experience
- Autodesk Revit Site Designer knowledge & experience
- Good understanding of water and wastewater processes, PFDs and PIDs.
- Experience of CAD/BIM detail design work for Water / Wastewater Treatment projects.
- Familiar with International and Singapore CAD design standards
- Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal/communication skills, writing and problem-solving capacities.
- Reliable, well-organized and detail oriented
- Must have the ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team environment to perform all duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Must be sharp, energetic, assertive, and results oriented.
